Are You Offended?

So you are offended?!!  Hmmmmm.  

Well I am talking to you, yes you, and you know who you are.  And if the Holy Spirit convicts you, then I am doing my job.  But I need to tell you this, and I need to tell you this in the Fathers love.  Knock it off!  Get a grip, stop being unreasonable, and see, that you are hurting yourself, when you get offended.  

Are you offended by me, writing to you like this?  Well sometimes, you have to speak truth, and sometimes bluntly, and it can sound harsh, it can offend.  We all speak differently, and in different tones.  The goal though, in this, is to speak truth, and to do it in love.  So I hope you see that.

I hope you see God's love in this.  

It’s easy, to get offended, and sure, I do understand.  I have, been there, I have been offended.  Because, it is, such a natural feeling, and emotion.  But according to who?  God the Holy father, the giver of life, the Lord, who sent his only son, for our sins, or the devil, the deceiver, the liar, the one who wants you to fail, and fall?  Whose example are you going to follow?

You need to know this, so you can get your blessings.  Because you need to see that “ being offended”  is a tool, that the enemy, the devil, uses, to steal your blessings.  What?  You say. 

Well, lets go into the word of God. 

God Is Love.  I John 4:17.  Whoever lives in love, lives in God and God in him. 

The Kingdom of God is built on love, and everything about it, the blessings, the prosperity, the health, the sound minds, we have is, because God, is a soveriegn, Holy God, of Love.  We are blessed, when we are submitting to the Love, of God.  It is a principle.  My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely Christ. I tell you this so that no one may deceive you (the devil is the deceiver) by fine sounding arguments. Colossians 2:2-3

So, when we step out of that realm, of love, in offenses, or by being offended, we are setting ourselves up to be used by the enemy.  He has a legal right, to steal your joy, your happiness, and yes, even your blessings, when you submit to being offended.  This happens when you give into that spirit of offense.  You, are making the choice, to let that bitter root, of being offended,  take the place, instead of love and God, within your heart.  Do you see this?

Right then and there, the element of  being unforgiving is evident.  And you step out of love.  You step out of God's covering.   Christ taught us to forgive.  Matthew 6:15, But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. 

So, how do we expect God to bless us, and yes, forgive us, if we are holding onto an offense? Psalm 32:1   (Read all of Psalm 32)  Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 

We need to get smart, and knowledgeable, about the tactics the enemy uses, to steal our blessings.  Now I know, this is a hard thing to do sometimes, because we flow sometimes, with what we feel.  But, we need to be disciplined, according to the word, of God.  We need to put, on our armor, the armor of God, and quench the fiery darts of the enemy.  That’s why it is so important to build ourselves up in the word, of God daily.  

Right now, I am planting a seed of love, to remind you, to forgive.  And to not get offended.  

But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a good crop.  Luke 8:15. 

Persevere, by not being offended.  To, let go of offences.  So, you can get your blessing.  I know, if I can impart this to you, to be mindful, Love will cover a multitude of sins.  I Peter 4:8.  

Remember, being offended, and also offending others, is a sin.  Covering it, with Gods love, not yours, but his, as yours, will make a way.   Your heart, is the ground, that you will receive this in.  Be careful, in the way you interface with others.  Are you polite?  Are you kind?  Are you incommunicative? Do you get pleasure out of being mean?  Do you insist on your own way, and not reasonable?  That's not love.

Believe me, I take this to heart myself.  I am learning just as much as you are.  We are all growing on the vine, some at different stages than others.  (He is the vine, we are the branches.  John 15:1.  So be patient, with one another.  Kind, compassionate, tolerant, to also being known as forgiving.  Just as Christ has forgiven you.  Ephesians 4:32)

And if I have offended, anyone, as well, I ask for forgiveness too.  I am sorry.  You see, I want my blessings, I want all that God has.  But I want to walk in love, with others.  I want to imitate God, my father, in this.  According to His Word. 

Take a moment, please, and say this prayer with me. 

Father, my Lord, I thank you, for this word.  Your word, that speaks to my heart.  I ask for forgiveness, if I have been offended.  Or if I have, even tried, to offend someone.  By acting prideful, arrogant, or even better then anyone.  Forgive me, if I have not extended grace, to give someone the benefit of the doubt.  Maybe they were having a bad day as well.  I don’t know.  But, I am thinking of everyone, who has offended me, in one big prayer.  And I say, Lord, I forgive them.  Of every thing.  I also pray, that you bless them.  Do a wonderful thing for them Lord, something, so spectacular.  Bless them.  Now, I ask, please forgive me, I want your love, in all things, evident in my life.  

Lord, guard my heart, to help me not to offend, or to be offended.  In Jesus name,  Amen

Great peace, have they which love thy law, and nothing shall offend them.    Psalms 119:165.  

It is true, there is peace, when you love God and His laws and you don't get offended.  I know....
